Fall Candle Scents for 2026: Autumn Cashmere, Smoked Cherry and Toasted Pumpkin

Fall Candle Scents for 2026: Autumn Cashmere, Smoked Cherry and Toasted Pumpkin - Relit Yourself Candle & Co

There is a specific week every year where the air changes and you suddenly want a blanket, a warm drink and a lit candle at 4pm. That week is close or at least it feels like that with the weather lately. And this year, we have three new fall candle scents ready for it.

Our Fall Collection is small on purpose. Three scents, hand poured in small batches with 100% pure soy wax, lead free cotton wicks and fragrance oils that are free of parabens and phthalates.

Same as always. Just a little more cinnamon.

What Actually Makes a Candle Smell Like Fall?

Most fall candles fall into one of three camps, and knowing the difference makes it much easier to pick one you will actually burn to the bottom.

Spice. Cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and star anise. Warm and a little sharp. Great in a kitchen, sometimes a lot in a small bedroom.

Gourmand. Caramelized sugar, vanilla, almond and whipped cream. This is the bakery smell. Cozy, sweet and very hard to dislike.

Woods and musk. Sandalwood, cedar, amber and cashmere musk. Softer and more grown up. This is the one that makes a room smell expensive without smelling like a dessert.

The good news? You do not have to pick a lane.

Our three fall scents each lean in a different direction, which is exactly why they work so well together.

Autumn Cashmere

Nutmeg, whipped cream, cashmere musk, raw pumpkin, amber woods and creamy sandalwood.

If you like pumpkin but you are tired of pumpkin, this is your candle.

The nutmeg and raw pumpkin sit in the background while cashmere musk and sandalwood do the heavy lifting. It smells soft. Almost like clean laundry that went to a nicer school.

Smoked Cherry

Cherry, coconut milk, amber, almond, vanilla orchid, black vanilla, sandalwood and cedarwood.

This one surprises people.

It opens fruity and a little unexpected, then the black vanilla and cedarwood pull it somewhere darker and warmer.

Think cherry, but grown up and sitting by a fire.

Burn it in: The evening, with something red in a glass, when you want the room to feel a little moody.

Toasted Pumpkin

Apple, white currant, star anise, white pumpkin purée, clove, cinnamon bark, caramelized sugar and tonka bean.

The classic one.

Apple and clove come through first, cinnamon bark follows, and caramelized sugar and tonka bean round everything out so it never feels harsh or overly potpourri-like.

This is the candle you light when people are coming over and you want them to walk in and say something about it.

How to Layer Fall Scents Without It Getting Weird

Layering is simply burning two candles in different spaces so the room reads as one bigger scent.

A few pairings that work:

Toasted Pumpkin in the kitchen + Autumn Cashmere in the living room

Spice where the food is, soft musk where the people are.

Smoked Cherry on its own

It is complex enough that it does not need a partner.

Autumn Cashmere + a Signature Collection scent

Musk and sandalwood play nicely with almost everything.

The rule of thumb: one bold scent, one soft scent and separate rooms.

Two spice candles in one space is a lot.

How to Make Your Candle Last Longer

Soy wax rewards a little patience.

1. Let the first burn reach the edges.

On the first burn, allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface before extinguishing the candle. This helps establish an even melt pattern and can help prevent tunnelling.

2. Trim the wick before each burn.

Keep the wick trimmed to approximately 1/4 inch before lighting. This helps maintain a steady flame and can reduce soot.

3. Keep your candle covered between burns.

A lid helps keep dust and debris out of the wax and helps protect the candle's fragrance between uses.

4. Give your candle a break.

Avoid burning for extended periods. Once you've reached the recommended maximum burn time, extinguish the candle, allow the wax to cool completely and relight it later.
